We'd Like to Introduce...Sawyer Lee Parks

The story behind Sawyer: We started looking at puppies a
few weeks ago, online and in-stores. On Saturday morning, we found a Cockapoo that we thought was adorable online and called the breeder to schedule a meeting. She told us there were a few other people that were interested and she would call us later in the evening after she thought about who she wanted to give the puppy to. We didn't hear from her like we expected so I called her and left a very lengthy message about how I felt about the puppy just from the picture and how much time we will have to bond with him because we are both off during the summer. She eventually called back and said she needed until morning to make a decision. On Sunday afternoon, she called and left me a message saying she decided to give it to a friend. I was very upset....she hadn't even met us and made a decision like that! Well....she called me twice while I was really busy at a baby shower and she also called Larry while he was at the baseball game. Larry called her back and she said she changed her mind and asked if we could give her a second chance. I was still at a baby shower and had no idea this was happening! I got home, opened the door, and my precious little puppy ran right to me and I was almost in tears because I thought it was gonna be awhile before I could find another Cockapoo as cute! I was so happy though and I thought about a lot of different names that I thought would be perfect for him. We decided on Sawyer and he seems to like it.

Sawyer was born on Easter, so he has the same birthday as Larry's Mom and Tama Toa. He is currently 9 weeks and 2 days old and weighs 8 lbs. We will be going to the vet later today to get all the fun stuff done!

His change in houses and being away from his mom and dad hasn't really been too bad. He has only had a few accidents in the house, the breeder tried to get him potty-trained before selling him-which is a total blessing! He runs to the front door when he needs to go out. He has been sleeping with his momma and daddy in their big bed and he really likes it! He is a good eater and such a sweet heart!

Inspection Went Great! It's Ours!

We are so excited to announce that we will have our house May 24. We will have Sunday and Monday to get unpacked.

The inspection went very well, only a few minor things need fixed.

We e-mailed the current homeowners about the neighbors and it sounds like we should be pretty happy with our surroundings!!

We can't wait for you all to come see us!

Welcome Home!

It's almost official...we just have to get the inspection done (which is on Friday) and then we will be happy little home owners!
We had the same offer on the table in a short sale situation since February and got tired of how we were getting treated and never getting answers. We felt it could be the end of the year until we knew on the house so Sunday night we signed papers cancelling our offer because we found the cutest and most quaint little house in Independence that night. The offer was accepted Monday morning! The drive will be so much closer for Larry and the house is in great condition (especially compared to the other). They put a new roof on the house last March, the house has great curb appeal, is in a great neighborhood, is painted beautifully, has a beautiful big back yard with a sand box. We are excited...we have been dreaming up all the things we can do to make this already nice house even nicer!

Please keep your fingers crossed that the inspection goes well and then you can come visit us at our new home after May 24!

House Hunters

We are trying to find our dream house in the Independence/Blue Springs area. We started looking over our Winter Breaks from school. We found one we loved and put a bid on it but we were outbid. We currently have a bid on a house over by Daniel Young Elementary which is in the Blue Springs School District (where we want our future children to go). The house has lots of space and potential with a good cleaning and some paint.

Pray for us that our bid goes through and we get this house!
