9 months and rolling over again!

As you all know, Lilly rolled over before she had to wear the harness. Good news, she has remembered how to on March 12, and now she rolls all over the place!! I have yet to capture video but will get on that! She wants to crawl so bad, she moves her body around all over the floor when on her belly, just not a crawl yet, but I know it is going to happen soon!

In other news, Lilly is 9 months old! She is the babbliest baby I have ever heard. She says "Bubba (no idea who that is!), Dada, Mama (started saying on March 5), hi, and hey." We have been working on getting her to do "SO BIG" on command and now she will do it spontaneously and look at us and want us to say it...it is too cute! She has interpreted the action a little differently than most, she clasps her hands and puts them above her head and grins. I will have to get a picture of that and post for you all to see! We went to the park a 2 weekends ago because it was so nice! Lilly got to swing for the first time and she loved it!
Just a swingin'!

Great News!

We had Lilly's follow-up appt. yesterday at the Ortheopedic Clinic at Children's Mercy. Lilly got an x-ray taken of her hip and then saw the doctor. They always love to see Lilly because she is so happy. Well, we were so happy when we left! Lilly only has to wear her harness when she sleeps at night for 6 more weeks! We go back to the doctor in 3 months and hopefully everything will still look great and appts. will continue to be spread out and then discontinue! YAY for Lilly's harness working and not needing any surgery! Miracles do happen! Thank you to everyone who has been praying and thinking of us throughout the last 23 weeks of this treatment!

Teeth and "Dada"

It's official....Lilly got tooth # 1, well it was official on January 22, I just reverted back to my bad blogger habits, I promise I won't do it again. Since I was a bad blogger, Lilly has happened to get tooth # 2 in the meantime. I haven't captured a picture of the two teeth yet because the second one just broke through and you can't really see it! I do have a picture of tooth # 1 though!

Lilly has started saying "Dada" and she loves to say it over and over. She has such a sweet little voice, I may be a bit biased though. She melts her Daddy's heart every time.

Just a few more pics

Lilly loves to sit in this duck bathtub without water....but if there is water, she is not a fan! She loves to lay down in the water and is too big to do that in this duck!
Time for church....I had planned on Lilly wearing this adorable Ralph Lauren dress for Easter but, she will be too big for it by then (it is just a 12 month) and it is already kind of short. She wore a 24 mos. dress the other day and it fit her perfectly. She is just getting so big right before our eyes!!

I promise to post on or close to Valentine's Day so you all can see Lilly's adorable outfit from Aunt Stephanie!

Peek-a-Boo Box

So, Larry had to order some school supplies and they came in a box much larger than necessary, so we took advantage of it!!

Hey there, Mom....wanna take my picture?
Apparently I used to do the same thing with newspaper...Lilly tore that magazine to shreds and loved the noise the shiny paper made!

Lilly is 7 months now and is just happy as can be!!! She went with me to the first night of Youth Rally last night and she loved all the lights, music, and dancing on stage!! She loves to "sing" with the music and it is just precious!

By-George I Think She's Got It! And Snow Baby

As I stated in a previous post, some of the things Lilly was doing before she had to begin wearing the harness 24/7 would take longer to remember how to do, sitting up was one of them. We have been working on this one a lot, as well as tummy time- working on those core muscles and arm strength. Today she has mastered sitting up, until someone says her name and she leans her head back to look at you and she starts to fall backwards, she does a pretty good job catching herself but it doesn't always work.
Here are a few pics of sitting up: Proud of herself.

And one of her working on those core muscles:

So, we have had some snow here in Missouri, Daddy even was out of school Monday-Wednesday due to the inclement weather. Lilly enjoyed laying in the snow for a bit and licked snowflakes.

Here are a few pics of our snow baby:

She remembered!!!

It has been a few days since I blogged, actually it was last year! So I need to blog now to keep up with my resolution!! In my last post, I wrote about Lilly's first few hours out of her Pavlik Harness and how upset she was in the bathtub....well, just as we hoped, she has remembered just how much she loves bathtime and I think that is partly to all the swimming she did on Saturday night at her Uncles' birthday party. She was a little fish, moving her arms and kicking her feet. It was so great to see her move and be so happy out of the harness! She is still working on rolling over since out of the harness but is doing so well at holding herself up. The doctor said there are just some things that will take a little longer to remember how to do again.

Since we got the video camera for Christmas, we decided to record Lilly and her love for the bathtub for all of you to see and for us to have for her in the future.

We are going to Cinzetti's on Saturday with my family that is in town to do our Christmas stuff and just be together. I am looking forward to seeing all my cousins and their adorable kids that love Lilly. I am also looking forward to All You Can Eat Authentic Italian Cuisine...including a Crepe Bar!! :) Larry will be heading to the Chiefs Playoff Game on Sunday and it is supposed to be 27 degrees with possible snow in the late afternoon....that would be why I don't want to go. I would rather watch the game in the warmth of the house and not have to deal with crazy fans. I know he will have fun though!

Hope you all have a great weekend!
